If you've never towed up on a paraglider, or never attempted simulated incidents in flight, this a great way to prepare. Many people I've talked with have an uneasy feeling about towing, as if their fate is in the boat operators hands. The glider is highly loaded, the pilot has less feedback, and stronger more aggressive inputs are required for the wing to react. As the line pulls left, the glider goes right and vice versa. It feels nothing like what we're used to in free flight. Understanding what is going on and knowing what to expect will make towing less stressful. You will track the boat correctly and learn to work with the operator in the most efficient way to get the highest altitude possible.
